The management of Chimete srl embraces the definition of sustainability in the broadest sense of the term and declares its commitment to ethics, gender equality, and the environment.

Sustainability

We are aware that the concept of sustainability, compared to its early incarnations, has undergone a profound evolution. From a vision primarily focused on ecological aspects, it has evolved to a more comprehensive meaning, that takes into account not only environmental, but also economic and social dimensions. We believe that progress and well-being are measured not only by wealth and economic growth based on GDP, but also, and above all, by sustainability, which involves constant and preferably growing environmental, social, and economic well-being, aimed at improving the quality of life.

The ultimate goal is to create, starting from our corporate reality, a more equitable and inclusive society, where every individual can enjoy a high level of well-being without compromising the resources and opportunities for future generations.

Ethics

Chimete’s management is committed to:

  • Promoting equality at every stage of the process.
  • Competing fairly, respecting competition rules and rejecting any form of corruption and bribery: services are paid fairly, without penalizing suppliers. Transportation, carriers, and stakeholders are also selected based on their employee care.
  • Creating a harmonious and collaborative environment free from discrimination and harassment, protecting differences. Therefore, investments in safety are included in the annual budget and agreed upon with all departments: all staff are involved and have the power to propose and vote on purchases, training, and the adoption of PPE in addition to those required by law.

Gender Equality

Company management constantly strives to create a peaceful, harmonious, and collaborative environment, free from discrimination and harassment. Maternity and paternity leave are strongly protected, as are caregivers in general, through flexible and self-managed hours. A fully equipped kitchen is available on site, and coffee, drinks, and designated relaxation areas are always available free of charge to everyone, regardless of their role.

Furthermore, to strengthen team cohesion, sharing, and motivation, we organize team building initiatives and company conventions.

Environment

Regarding environmental issues, our company, classified as energy-efficient, has consolidated a modus operandi that minimizes energy consumption.

We are also active and involved in research projects focused on the recovery and valorization of waste materials from local agricultural supply chains.

For the maintenance of our facility and the cleaning of our offices, we also rely on companies that are committed to the environment and their staff (Move and Clean).
